Drawn to a close in September 2016, Save the Children's Project Karuna embraced 100 villages in Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand in which we operated at the Block level to fight rampant malnutrition and increase child survival rates.
We provided feeding and dietary counselling to parents, gave nutritional supplements to children and mobilized children afflicted with Severely Acute Malnourished (SAM) to Malnutrition Treatment Centres. A total of 1.6 lakh children were reached in a span of four years. Watch the video to know what this project could achieve for the most marginalized children in these two states.
