THE CARTER CLINIC
As a 23-year-old first-five or fly half selected for the 2005 series against the British and Irish Lions Dan Carter had already given the rugby world a glimpse of his class following his All Blacks debut two years earlier.
A multi-skilled, hard running, tough tackling, goal-kicking maestro Carter excited fans with his class, poise and accuracy. But he took his game to another level in the second test of the series at Wellington following a 21-3 victory in the first test at Christchurch.
At Westpac Stadium, Carter delivered a master class that showcased his genius. His haul of 33 points (with 22 in the second-half) saw the All Blacks win 48-18.
The test match defined Carter as the greatest No.10 in the rich history of the men in black.
