I DON'T throw out my soft Pears (Avocado) instead I make Avocado spread and "butter"
Add sea salt or kosher whatever you prefer. Also add what your taste buds like - thyme, cilantro, scotch bonnet pepper, garlic, lime ...you name it and keep it in the fridge. You can spread on toast, crackers, use on sandwiches as a butter substitute, on bun, Bulla anything really. Cover it and keep in the fridge as a healthy alternative.
